I have a unique interest in providing individual and group supportive & psychotherapy for older adolescent, collegiate and adult populations who may struggle with depression, trauma, PTSD, internalized and somatic disorders, substance use, transitional issues and other challenges. I possess a heightened respect for cultural relativism and believe that a person's culture sets their foundation. I practice trauma-informed care and am a person-centered therapist. I approach each session with empathy and understanding, taking into account the unique experiences and needs of each individual. My goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can explore their thoughts and feelings, gain insight into their behavior, and develop the skills and tools they need to achieve their goals.
One of my specialties is working with older adults, embracing the aging process with positivity while navigating the challenges presented by the natural changes of growing older. I am happy to be a participating member of Medicare.
I am passionate about working to counsel and support caregivers in their dual role of loving and caring for the aging.
Let me help you resolve past trauma, whether it be from one event or many, including childhood trauma. Let me help you reduce the impact trauma has on your life, your emotions, your relationships, and your choices. Let's apply evidenced-based modalities to achieve this, including CPT (cognitive processing therapy) and trauma-focused CBT. I accept Tricare and have a wealth of experience working with adult survivors of childhood trauma, military veterans, and intergenerational and historical trauma survivors.
